Exercise
has many benefits for people of all ages—even older adults! Recent
studies show that regular physical activity can improve mobility and
reduce the risk of disability in older adults. Exercise also can reduce
the risk of heart disease, diabetes, osteoporosis,
and other chronic conditions.
The Go4Life
campaign from the National Institute on Aging at NIH encourages older adults to be more physically active to improve their health. Go4Life has sample exercises especially for older adults and motivational tools to help you find activities
you enjoy, start exercising, and keep going.
